$17.00 – $23.00Winter is the perfect time to plan for Spring planting and we can offer the tools to help you get the process started. In this presentation, we will consider ways to create a new garden or look at an existing space with new eyes. A well-laid plan is the foundation for a long-term, sustainable garden landscape that can be enjoyed for years to come. Having a good plan in place before investing in new plants saves money in the long run. We will learn how to identify and investigate needs, wants and desires for your home yard landscape. The options are many: a garden for pollinators, a garden for birds, a showcase for natives and more. It all takes the right amount of planning. As we prepare for the garden season, we’ll help you with knowing what plants work well in the right conditions.
This program will take place in our Auditorium and is presented by staff Horticulturist, Sandy Manning. Sandy has a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and has been volunteering as a Master Gardener for over 20 years. She is also an instructor in our Wisconsin Master Naturalist course. Sandy enjoys gardening and sharing plants and plant information with everyone.
