Down in the Dirt: Soil Insects

Saturday, May 3, 2025 | 10:00 am - 11:30 am

$12.00 – $18.00

,

Take a journey through a magnifying glass as we get down in the dirt to find the insects and their relatives crawling under our feet. Join Environmental Educator Melanie Ziolecki as we investigate the soil critters in our forests that are small but mighty. We will use insect inspecting equipment as well as a list of common insects and relatives found at Schlitz Audubon. Each participant will be able to take home an insect ID sheet of their own as well as a take home keychain craft of an insect.

This program is designed for all ages, children and adults alike. Children must be accompanied by an adult; each child and adult require a ticket. This program will take place both indoors and outdoors.

Members: $12 per person | Non-members: $18 per person
