Join a welcoming community of bird enthusiasts on the second Wednesday of the month. New and experienced birders will meet to learn together, discuss bird-related issues, and hike to discover birds on our trails. Our co-host is Dan Panetti, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Mequon.

This month, Naturalist Laine Cotteleer an experienced birder with a degree in ecology from the University of Wisconsin, will lead a presentation featuring some of the bird world’s most misunderstood inhabitants. Learn about the gross, the weird, and the spooky this Halloween season! That’s not all though – we’ll also debunk some common myths surrounding these species, as well as discuss some of their ecological benefits.

Anyone aged 14 and older who is interested in learning more about birds regardless of prior experience is welcome.

Free to all. Optional donation supports habitat preservation at the Center. Registration required.
