Audubon Kids: Pond Investigators
Sunday, May 4, 2025 | 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
$15.00 – $20.00In our Audubon Kids program series, children 7 years or older will experience nature through hands-on exploration, games, and fun! These classes are designed as drop-off opportunities akin to our renowned Summer Camp programming. Children join our Naturalists for activities designed to entertain, educate, and empower a lifelong love of the environment.
We have so many ponds at Schlitz Audubon, but which is the best for the animals? For this month’s program, join Environmental Educators Aubrey Fulsaas and Laine Cotteleer to explore two of our ponds up-close. Discover what they have in common and what makes each one unique. Catch, identify, and discover a variety of aquatic invertebrates at each pond, and investigate which is a healthier ecosystem through some cool wetland math! Learn about the importance of wetland habitats through hands-on exploration.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. In case of inclement weather, a portion of the program will take place indoors.
Members: $15 per child | Non-members: $20 per child
