Adult Snowshoe

Saturday, February 10, 2024 | 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

$17.00 – $23.00

,

Join Naturalist Jim Thielke and explore the fascinating winter ecosystems of Schlitz Audubon by snowshoe. First, we’ll learn about the history and different styles of snowshoes and their uses. We’ll then strap on a pair of our aluminum framed snowshoes and head out to the trails to investigate signs of active winter animals. We’ll also observe the unique adaptations of plants that not only tolerate but thrive in our Wisconsin winters.

Bring your own snowshoes or borrow a pair from us. If trail conditions are not ideal for snowshoeing, we will take a winter hike instead. This program is designed for adults. This program will take place entirely outdoors.

Members: $17 per person | Non-members: $23 per person
